How to Design Text in PowerPoint | PowerPoint Text Effects Tutorial

If you are trying to design a Text background in Microsoft Office PowerPoint, then this post is for you.

Here below, I'm going to share all the steps to set up a picture as the Text background in MS PowerPoint 2007 and 2013 versions in simple with proper screenshot instructions.

MS PowerPoint is the most powerful featured presentation software it includes lots of features and tools that make your presentation assume and attractive. One of these tools is WordArt, using this feature you can design Text in PowerPoint. Attractive cool text can give better attention to the presentation slide. You can easily set a picture into a Text background like we do Clip in Mask in Photoshop but in a little different way. 

In this post, I'm going to share the steps on how you can easily set up any picture as the background of a Text. It's easy and simple, just you have to know the use of the WordArt Style section of PowerPoint.

How to Design Text in PowerPoint

Follow all the steps correctly as mentioned below to design/insert a gradient or picture on the text in MS PowerPoint 2007 and 2013.

PowerPoint 2007

Step 1. Open PowerPoint 2007 version installed on your computer.

Step 2. Go to the Insert tab then click on the WordArt option and select a design from the dialog box.

Step 3. Now type your own text and then select all the text [Ctrl + A]. Click on Text Fill and select the Picture Fill option.

Step 4. Then choose the picture from your desktop's folder you want to set as the background of the text and then simply just click on the Insert button.

That's done. 

The Text background is now successfully changed into a picture background.

PowerPoint 2013

Step 1. Open PowerPoint 2013 is already installed on your computer.

Step 2. Click on the INSERT tab and then click on WordArt and choose a WordArt design from the dialog box.

Step 3. Now type your own text and then right-click and select the Format Shape option at the bottom of the dialog box.

Step 4. Then a Format Shape dialog box will appear on the right side. Select the Text Options > Text Fill > Picture or Texture fill and then click on the File option and select the image from your desktop's folder you want to set as the Text background and then simply just click on the Insert button.

That's done.

I hope this post will be helpful to you. Using the same method/steps mentioned in the PowerPoint 2013 version you can easily follow the steps even in the earlier higher versions of MS PowerPoint also.
