Using shortcut keys you can save so much when doing projects. There are lots of useful shortcut keys tricks available for Microsoft Office PowerPoint. Below a complete list of Shortcut keys commonly used in PowerPoint.

  • Esc: Close the slideshow.
  • F1: Open Microsoft office help option.
  • F5: Start the Slideshow.
  • Alt + F: Open Info option.
  • Alt + G: Open Design tab.
  • Alt + H: Open the Home tab.
  • Alt + K: Open "Transitions tab.
  • Alt + N: Open Insert tab.
  • Alt + R: Open Review tab.
  • Alt + S: Open Slide Show Tab.
  • Alt + W: Open View tab.
  • Ctrl + A: Select all Text, Objects of a slide. You can also select all slides, for that first click a slide and then press Ctrl + A.
  • Ctrl + F: Open the Find dialog box and you can text in the current slide.
  • Ctrl + H: Open Replace dialog box.
  • Ctrl + M: Add a new slide.
  • Ctrl + N: Open a new PowerPoint window.
  • Ctrl + O:  Go to the Open option.
  • Ctrl + P: Open the Print option to print all slides.
  • Ctrl + Q: Close the PowerPoint all windows open at a time.
  • Ctrl + S or F12: Open the Save As dialog box so that you can save the PPT slide.
  • Ctrl + W: Close all the slides in the current PowerPoint window.
  • Ctrl + Y: Add a new slide at the bottom of the selected slide.
  • Ctrl + Z: Close the selected slide.
  • Ctrl + Shift + D: Add a copy slide of the currently selected slide.
  • Ctrl + Shift + H: Zoom out and in of the current slide at a time.
  • Ctrl + Shift + M:  Add a new slide at the bottom of the current slide.
  • Ctrl + Shift + N: Switch to the top slide.
  • Ctrl + Shift + S: Open the Save As dialog box.
  • End: Switch to the bottom slide.
  • PgUp or Up arrow: Moves through each slide bottom to top.
  • PgDn or Down arrow: Moves through each slide top to bottom.
